About the author

Bukola Omolewa is a woman who wears several hats. She is a virtuous wife, a mother of three beautiful children, a grandmother, and a devout Christian. She has worked for more than a decade as a registered nurse, in several healthcare settings, a career she considered at age 46. Today, she holds a bachelor’s degree in education, a master's in nursing, and is also a nurse coach. Acknowledged for her excellence, she has received several accolades for administering care in differing capacities. She was also awarded Certificates of Recognition based on patients’ suggestions.

This book is dedicated to her journey in life. This memoir shows how she has impacted many people in life and how the people in her life have impacted her—from her countless friends from childhood to the present, her siblings, extended family members, co-workers, and everyone else she has encountered along the way.

Although Bukola has led a good life and was blessed with a good upbringing, she has also had to overcome many setbacks, challenges, and disappointments. However, she has never allowed herself to be defeated. She relies on her faith in God and walks confidently, knowing He directs her to where she is meant to go. She has never allowed the optimist in her to be defeated. Bukola loves to cook, travel, and dance in her leisure time. She is convivial at heart and is eager to connect with people from all walks of life.
